Beginner Level:
In this art class, children will learn the basic elements and principles of art and design like balance and proportion through various drawings, arts and crafts. They will experiment with shapes, colours, and textures while working on projects and geared to their age groups, while developing their dexterity and more skills to use the mediums they have learned. They will have a chance to practice art in a non-judgmental and non-competitive environment suited to guiding younger learners towards a lifelong passion for art.
Ages: 4-12
Fee: Monthly payment is $99 based on 4 weeks, 1 hour a week, including supplies.
Intermediate Level:
Classes go from September to June.
In this art class, students will apply their previous skills towards learning new mediums according to their interests and skillsets. We will go through a series of subjects ranging from landscapes to portraits and abstract paintings, while learning how to create a more professional sense of shape, texture, value and colour to work created. This program can act as guidance towards a portfolio, while directing the students towards their own interests in a non-competitive, supportive environment.
Ages 12+ (or if a child has a skill level higher)
Portfolio Building Class:
Classes are available on contact, and can be arranged one-on-one or in a group class depending on interest, year round. Classes are available in person, and online.
Classes are meant to instruct prospective middle-school students towards creating a portfolio suitable for application towards art centered schools such as Etobicoke School of Arts of Cawthra Park Secondary School. Instructors are graduates of art programs in both post-secondary and university schools, and are well versed in what goes into creating a well rounded portfolio for application.
